Step 1: Watch Electronic Health Records Can Save Lives: Regina Holliday’s story

Step 2: Conduct some research regarding electronic health records. Interview at least five people who are of various ages (18-34, 35-50, 51 or older) and genders. (Do they feel secure with this data stored electronically? Do they worry about the portability of medical records? Have they ever reviewed their medical record? Would they prefer to see a health care provider that had paper medical records only? Feel free to ask additional questions.)

Step 3: Write a 2-page summary of your interviews. Your summaries must contain at least the following information:

a. the results of your research

b. Were you surprised by the results? What is your opinion of the results?

c. Were their differences based on age?

d. Were their difference based on gender?

e. What is your opinion, based on your research and your experience, regarding electronic medical records?
