BUS373 Group Project – Enterprise Systems Demonstration. DUE DATE: 2 December 2022

This is a group project, so you need to from a group, and work collaboratively. This project is designed to give you a practical understanding of enterprise systems. You are asked to collectively select an enterprise system (ERP, SCM, or CRM), and then select a specific IT solution for that enterprise system. Then, you will analyze the selected IT solution from different aspects. You will also do a class presentation for the class. 

The Group Assignment is divided into TWO types of submissions:

  • Project report – (double-space, 12-point times new roman, 15 – 20 pages).  
    • First you will need to form a group.
    • Select one enterprise system: ERP, SCM, or CRM.
    • Select a specific IT solution from the provided list.
    • Analyze your selected IT solution based on the following points:
      • A brief introduction about the IT solution, such as when was it launched, is it designed for specific industry, is it a popular system, is it used by many companies (give example of some companies using the system), so on (no more than 5 lines).
      • What kind of modules the IT solution has? Describe the modules. Include diagrams. Select 2 modules to do the following:
        • Describe the automated process in the modules. At least 2 processes for each module. Include diagrams.
  • Describe 3 analytical capabilities for each module (MIS or DSS) Include diagrams.
    • Describe collaboration tools used in the IT solution. How does it facilitate team work? Include diagrams.
    • Describe other features such as connection to mobile devices, IoT devices, social media sites, artificial intelligence. (optional)
  • Presentation – (20 minutes)
    • Create a presentation covering the major points in the report.

The grade will be based on the comprehensiveness of the report and the way both the report and presentation are articulated. The first page is a title page containing project name, course info, professor name, group members’ names. Include a reference section that lists all the sources used in the report. Also, you must have in-text references. Use APA style. Be creative but simple with a goal to make the demonstration and report easy to understand. It is also IMPORTANT that ALL members participate and contribute equally.
