AFTER completing the Table, answer the following questions.
- How would you honestly describe your eating habits BEFORE this assignment? Did you think
they were good, bad, or somewhere in between? What was good about it? What was bad
about it? Be thorough in your analysis. - Using your results from the Part 2 Table (separate document that must be completed first),
calculate your 3-day average for the following:
A) Fat calories =
B) Carbohydrates calories =
C) Protein calories =
D) Total calories =
- Comparing your averages from question #2 and your calculated needs from the Basic Info
page in the Part 2 Table, indicate if you meeting (+/- 10% of calculated need), deficient
(>10% below calculated need), or exceeding (>10% above calculated need) for the following:
A) Fat calories:
B) Carbohydrates calories:
C) Protein calories:
D) Total calories:
- What were the good and bad trends in your eating habits? (Examples: You ate healthier when
with others. You ate more when home alone. Etc.…) Keep in mind that every diet I’ve ever
seen has some good and some bad. So be thorough in your review of your week. - Identify the obstacles preventing you from achieving a more optimal, healthy diet? What can
you do to limit/remove those obstacles? - Taking everything previously discussed into consideration, identify at least 3 changes you
could make (or maybe even you’ve already changed just because of this assignment) to your
diet to make it better? Be honest with yourself on this one. Don’t put, “Replace my lunch with a
salad, 3 days a week” if you hate salad. This is your opportunity to take an honest look at your
eating and find things that you can and would be able to change to make it better.
